Hebrews
The book of Hebrews was written to a first-century Jewish audience. It assumes the reader has a working knowledge of the Old Testament and Jewish traditions. It applies to us because it contains reminds us that our Christian story does not begin with Matthew, we are part of God's larger story of redemption the He has been telling for thousands of years. The writer of Hebrews explains who Jesus was and what He accomplished by becoming the final high priest and ultimate sacrifice. Jesus is the only way to God, and we accept Him by faith with repentance.
