Specifically, can a Christian eat meat that was sacrificed to idols? Paul’s response helps the church ask a better question; should a Christian eat meat that was sacrificed to idols. Technically, a Christian has the right to eat whatever they want, but just because we have the freedom to do something doesn’t mean we should take the liberty to do so. Paul’s answer helps us understand how to think about issues of maturity in the church and how we should treat other believers who act immature.
